About
kolabor brings together human-centred design, usability, participatory methods, facilitation, and graphic design.
As a creative consultancy, kolabor supports designers, researchers, and public organisations by providing expert advice and feedback, as well as creating engaging materials and tools for qualitative research, co-creation, workshops, and training – so that you have more interaction, more engagement, more impact.
Who is behind kolabor?
My name is Erika Hajdu. I create conditions that facilitate meaningful interactions and experiences.
I hold two Master’s degrees in design, specialising in design research and human-centred design. I am passionate about understanding how people and groups behave, express themselves, and support one another. To me, people (whether we call them users, clients, participants or partners) are always at the centre.

Methods
Creative Facilitation
I use visual thinking and various brainstorming methods to solve problems and generate new ideas in a collaborative group environment.
Want to learn more? My go-to book is the Road Map for Creative Problem Solving Techniques by Katrina Heijne and Han van der Meer.
Contextmapping
I use creative techniques such as templates, diaries, collages, and storyboards to help people express their deepest thoughts, needs and emotions.

Research through Design
I make prototypes and experiments, use creative (design) techniques to create new knowledge and insights.
Want to learn more? Read this article on Research through Design by Pieter Jan Stappers and Elisa Giaccardi.
I can also help with: observations, interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, persona development, journey mapping, storyboarding, scenario writing, and experience prototyping.
FAQ
Do you speak Dutch?
Dutch is not my mother tongue, but I speak, read, and write it at a B2/C1 level. You can contact me in English or Dutch, and I can also moderate workshops in either language (or a mix of the two).
Do you take projects outside the Netherlands?
Yes! Wherever you are, I can be your sparring partner and support you online. With tools like Microsoft Teams and Miro, we can run workshops, focus groups, and other sessions remotely.
